What is NYRR
BriX Bike-Run?
NYRR BriX Bike-Run is an outdoor class that combines cycling and running. The
class objective is to introduce multisport training techniques to runners
seeking to achieve greater fitness. Each class includes instruction on BriX
training and its application to duathlon and triathlon competition, using BriX
workouts in base building and threshold training, and bike-to-run transition
techniques. Benefits include greater stamina and endurance and mastery of
crosstraining techniques that can complement running and provide a competitive
edge.
Program Director
Scott Cohen is a certified fitness
trainer with ACE/American Heart Association CPR certification, an Arthritis
Foundation marathon training coach, an Ironman triathlete, and an experienced
marathoner.
